The last date to fill the application for the Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020, to be held on 16 October by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is today, 1 September. Interested candidates who have not yet filled the application can fill their application by going to the UPSC application portal, upsconline.nic.in. The Commission had issued a notification for the IES 2020 examination (Examination Notice No. 11/2020-IES) on August 11 of the same month, and the application process had started from the same day. The IES 2020 exam will be conducted on October 16 in 19 cities across the country. Candidates should note that they will be allotted exam center along the lines of ‘apply first, get allotment first’.

Photo identity card is necessary for application

Candidates desirous of applying for Union Public Service Commission Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 are required to have a photo identity card valid by the Commission. These include Aadhaar card, voter ID card, PAN card, driving license or any other photo identity card issued by the Central / State Government. Candidates will have to fill the details of this identity card at the time of online application and upload their scan copy. Candidates should note that in order to appear in the examination, they have to bring the same identity card along with the admit card to the exam center.

Applications can be withdrawn by 14 September

The Commission has also made a provision to withdraw the application to the candidates who have applied for the UPSC IES 2020 examination. After filling the online application, candidates will be able to withdraw the application from September 8 to September 14, 2020 at 6 pm. For this, the candidates have to visit the application portal of the Commission, upsconline.nic.in.
