In fact, under pressure to expand the investigation options, the FDA had also allowed several unaided companies to test antibodies by blood. Now the decision has been taken by the FDA due to the claims of several companies in this case. Now companies will be allowed to investigate only after giving evidence before the agency.
The FDA reported that several companies made false claims about the investigation and its authenticity. In view of this, permission for investigation given to all companies has been withdrawn. FDA Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Shah said that this permission was given as a necessary convenience to increase the availability of test kits in the current era. However, convenience does not mean that the fraud is approved. He said, “It is unfortunate that in many cases false test kits were marketed and the epidemic was seen as an opportunity to profit.”
