Netflix has announced the new documentary web series Bad Boy Billionaires. This document-series will show the story of some of the major economic crimes in the country and the industrialists who executed it. After the announcement of this series, the proclaimed fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi, through his lawyer Vijay Agarwal, has approached the Delhi High Court seeking a preview of the series.

According to the NDTV report, Choksi’s lawyer said in the court – we only want to preview the film. Web series can affect a forgery case. According to the report of Hindustan Times, senior advocate Neeraj Kishan Kaul appeared on behalf of Netflix. He told that in the documentary, there is only a two-minute part on Nirav Modi, in which Choksi has been mentioned. He also said that there is no way to regularize content on the OTT platform. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till Friday.

The poster released by Netflix has pictures of Mehul Choksi’s nephew diamond merchant Nirav Modi, Subrata Roy, Vijay Mallya and Ramalingam Raju. These four are also mentioned in the trailer. Netflix shared the trailer and wrote – Every trick is decoded. Every penny was traced. Bad Boy Billionaire will air on Netflix on September 2.

Let me tell you that Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi are the main accused in the Rs 13500 crore scam in Punjab National Bank. Choksi, Nirav Modi and wife Ami Modi have been declared absconders from the country. The Enforcement Directorate has registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. On Tuesday, Interpol has issued a red alert notice against Ami Modi. Since being arrested in London in March 2019, Nirav Modi is in a UK jail and is fighting a case against extradition to India.

At the same time, Mehul is found to be in the African country of Antigua. The Government of India is making diplomatic efforts to bring it as well. Under the Money Laundering Act, the ED has seized these valuable items of companies of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.
