This warning has been given by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT) of the IT Ministry.
ICERT has said that when the whole world is fighting the Corona virus, cyber criminals are harming people by intimidating them in the name of Corona or Covid 19.
Hackers are using many malware or viruses these days.
These include viruses such as Kovidlock, Katrimson Rat, Lokibot, Trickbot, Emotet, Trickimouse, Agent Tesla and Visius Panda.
The ICERT warning states that upon downloading the Corona Virus Tracker app sent by cybercriminals, it makes its way into your Android phone and camera.

Hackers are also using Kovid 19 as a discount code these days to promote their virus so that they can get financial benefits.
ICERT has stated that cyber criminals are using the name of a trusted organization or company to commit cyber crime in the name of Kovid 19 so that they
can trap you by issuing an offer in their name.
ICERT recommends to avoid phishing mail, third party app or program first of all to avoid this type of cyber crime.
Mail can be sent to you from many campaigns associated with Corona which may force you to click, but avoid them.
