PMGKY: The second installment of Jan Dhan accounts, from today

New Delhi According to the announcement by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, female Jan Dhan account holders will start getting another installment of Rs 500 from Monday. To help the poor at the time of the Covid-19 crisis, the government had announced to send 500 rupees every month to the accounts of women Jan Dhan account holders for three months. Sitharaman announced this on 26 March. Financial Services Secretary Debashish Panda gave information about sending the installment for the month of May. He said that keeping in mind that there is no congestion in the branches of banks, a time table has been developed under which women Jan Dhan account holders can withdraw money from banks based on the last digit of the bank account.

According to this time table, women Jan Dhan account holders whose last digit of account is zero or one can withdraw the second installment on May 4. At the same time, the accounts which finally get two or three digits can withdraw money on May 5 under this scheme. Similarly, people whose last digit of account is four or five will get money on May 6. The account holders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), whose account numbers are going to expire from numbers six and seven, can withdraw the second installment on May 8. At the same time, people whose last digits of the account are number eight and nine, they will get the second installment on May 11.

Panda on Saturday tweeted, “Under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Package, women PMJDY beneficiaries are being sent an installment of Rs. 500 for the month of May.” Beneficiaries are requested to follow the given schedule before going to banks or CSPs for the withdrawal of money. Money can also be withdrawn through ATMs and bank assistants. ”

Under the PM Garib Kalyan package, female account holders of PMJDY are being sent bank installments of Rs.500 in May. Money is completely safe, in order to avoid congestion in banks, take the money from branch, CSP, bank friends as per the time table below. Stay healthy, stay safe.

However, Panda has clarified that money can be withdrawn immediately in case of an emergency. It is noteworthy that after the first installment was sent to this item, such rumors started spreading that if the money is not withdrawn soon, the government will take it back. After this, the Finance Ministry and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted this rumor as false and baseless.
