Twenty-year-old Neelkant Bhanu Prakash of Hyderabad has emerged as the world’s fastest human calculator after winning the first gold for India at the Mental Count World Championship at the Mind Sports Olympiad (MSO) held in London recently.
Neelkant Bhanu Prakash, a student of Mathematics (Hons) at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, has also won the 50 Limca record for being the fastest human calculator in the world along with the world record.
Bhanu Prakash told ANI that I did my utmost to place India on the global level of mathematics. He further said that I hold 4 world records and 50 Limca records for being the fastest human calculator in the world. My brain calculates faster than the speed of a calculator. Breaking these records, once possessed by Math Maestros such as Scott Mansburg and Shakuntala Devi. ”
