Delhi Lockdown
Lockdown in Delhi AGAIN! Ajay Maken surrounded the Center and Delhi Government on the situation of Corona in Delhi and said that all markets in Delhi should be closed simultaneously. This will have the opposite effect of closing selected markets or imposing lockdowns.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led government will send a fresh proposal to the Centre seeking its permission to impose lockdown across market areas to control the rising coronavirus cases.

“Since cases are rising in Delhi, we are sending a general proposal to Central Govt, that if required, Delhi Govt can implement shutting down those markets for few days, where norms are not being followed & they are becoming a local COVID-19 hotspot”, said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday.

“When Corona situation improved in Delhi a few weeks ago, number of people attending a wedding was increased to 200, according to the Center’s guidelines. Now it’s being withdrawn & only 50 people will be allowed. The decision has been sent for LG’s approval”, Kejriwal told reporters.

“I am thankful to Central govt for helping Delhi people by increasing 750 ICU beds immediately. All governments and agencies have doubled their efforts to control COVID-19 but it can’t be done till people take precautions. I appeal all to wear masks & follow social distancing”, said Kejriwal.

Dismissing the speculations, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that there would be no lockout in the national capital given the third wave of COVID-19 as it is already at its peak.

ANI quoted Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain saying, “The lockout in Delhi will not have any effect. I don’t think it will be an effective step now. Wearing masks by everyone will be more beneficial.”

Satyendra Jain said that the third wave of COVID-19 had crossed its peak in Delhi.

Notably, Delhi has been witnessing a rise in the number of new COVID-19 cases from the last few days.

The national capital had recorded its highest single-day spike of 8,593 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. On Thursday, 104 fatalities, the highest in a day in over five months, were recorded.

Congress General Secretary and former Union Minister Ajay Maken has also opened a front in view of increasing cases of Corona virus infection in Delhi. On Tuesday, besieging the Center and the Delhi government on the condition of Corona in the capital Delhi, all markets in Delhi should be closed simultaneously. This will have the opposite effect of closing selected markets or imposing lockdowns. Do not lockdown in select markets. In such a situation, people will move from one market to another, so there will be no benefit.

AAP government should also consult the opposition

He said that there cannot be a worse decision. In a digital press conference held on Tuesday, Maken said that Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain says that Delhi has seen the peak of Corona, while it is completely wrong. Its peak is yet to come. Government should not confuse people. Maken suggested that all offices should have work from home. If the metro is run, it is completely gone or not. Running the metro for a few hours will harm that more people will travel in the metro. The Aam Aadmi Party government should also consult the opposition.

Ajay Maken said that one of the five people who died of Covid-19 daily in the country is from Delhi. Corona infection rates are higher in Delhi than Italy, UK, France and Brazil. The Union Home Minister and the Chief Minister of Delhi are equally responsible for this situation. Maken said that Dr. VK Paul has said in his report that fifteen thousand cases are going to happen in Delhi every day. That means 780 cases per million per day. Paul gave this report in the first week of October. We want to know what has been done by the Delhi government so far to deal with it?
