Maha Shivratri 2021: know the auspicious time Puja Vidhi and fasting rules.

Maha Shivratri, one of the four important nights in the Sanatan Dharma, will be celebrated on Thursday, March 11, in the Chaturdashi, with the Trayodashi. This time, Guru, Mercury, Saturn, and Moon – all these planets will remain in Capricorn in Falgun Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi. On this day, Mahashivaratri in Siddha Yoga after the Shiva Yoga of Dhanishtha Nakshatra will give the devotees elevation and increase in happiness and material pleasures. Worshiping Lord Bholenath on this day (Lord Shiva Puja Vidhi) – Abhishek will be very fruitful, because, in the scriptures, Guru has been considered as the causative planet of knowledge, material pleasures, and communication.

Significance of Maha Shivratri 
That is, Shiva is the one who destroys the sins committed by the devotees and gives them to Satkarma. Shiva is hungry only for the sentiment. If there are devotion and dedication in the spirit, then they are easily pleased. Shivaratri is a great festival of the union of Shiva and Shakti. According to the mythological belief, a person who does not fast for the whole year and only observes Mahashivaratri fast, then he gets the merit of fasting for the whole year.

Legislation of Shiva worship in four hours
According to the belief, on this day worship of God should be done once during the night or four times if possible. The Vedas say that the four poles of the night have been told. On this day, worship of Lord Shiva in every stroke is very fruitful. All wishes are fulfilled by this puja.

How to do Shiva Puja on Mahashivaratri (Lord Shiva Puja Vidhi)

After taking a bath in the morning on the day of Mahashivaratri, take a vow of fast.

Offer the anointing of Lord Shiva.

On this day, Shivling should be adorned with bilvapatra, Aak, Dhatura, flowers, Akshat, Bhasma, etc.

One should chant Shiva Puran and Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.

Aarti and worship of Lord Shiva should be done at night also.

On this day, stay away from wrong actions, anger, ego and do charity.

Observing fast (Mahashivratri Vrat Ke Niyam)

After taking bath in the morning on Mahashivratri, take a vow of fast. Then start the puja.

By following strict rules in the fast, it gets its full result.

Also, the fasting of Mahashivaratri should also be done methodically.

Fasting should be done in the middle of sunrise and Chaturdashi Tithi.

Puja auspicious time (Mahashivratri Ka Shubh Muhurat)

Nishithkal: From 12:12 to 01:01 at night on Thursday (March 11).

First stroke: Thursday evening from 06:29 to 09:32 at night.

Second stroke: 09:33 am to 12:36 pm

Third hit: 12:37 pm to 03:39 pm

Fourth Prahar: After midnight on Thursday, March 12 from 03: 41 to 06: 43 PM.

Shivaratri Paran Time: On Friday, March 12, after 06:34 am.

Special rules of fasting

On the day of Maha Shivaratri, the fast should be taken by taking black sesame in the bath water.

After this, wear clean clothes.

Do not wear black clothes.

Mahashivaratri can be kept both in the form of nirjala or fruit.

On the day of Mahashivaratri, worship Nandi before Shiva worship.

Give God a bath with panchanmrit.

After that take a bath with Ganges water.

Finally, offer plum and fruits to the Lord.
