In the last 24 hours, 3900 new cases have been reported, which is the highest ever reported in a day. While 195 people have died in the last 24 hours, this is also the highest number of deaths in India in one day.
Maharashtra has reported the most cases in the country. So far, 14541 cases have been reported here and 583 people have died. However, 2465 people have been cured here. In view of the seriousness of the situation, Section 144 of the CRPC in Mumbai will remain in force till 17 May 2020. The movement of one or more persons for all non-essential services (except medical reasons) will be restricted between 8 am and 7 am. Mumbai Police has given information about this.
In second place is Gujarat, where cases of rapid infection are increasing. 5804 infection cases have been reported so far. At the same time, 319 people have died here.
