Amid growing tension in many parts of the world, for the first time this year a big news came in the context of peace restoration. A historic peace agreement was reached between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), considered arch enemies on Thursday. US President Donald Trump, who plays the middleman between the two countries, himself revealed this on Twitter.

This is only the third agreement of Israel with an Arab country after independence in 1948. Prior to this, he has entered into agreements with Jordan and Egypt.
The agreement of the UAE and Israel is expected to reduce stress . Palestine is opposing it, while many countries are surprised by the agreement. ‘Back door diplomacy’ had been going on for many years between Israel and the UAE. But, now both countries have publicly announced the peace agreement. Israel has currently postponed the intention of settling settlements in the West Bank or, in other words, annexation. This will reduce tensions in the Gulf countries and Israel.

Several months of negotiations that kept
Trump secret have been trying for the deal for several months. All kinds of conversations were kept very secret. This is the reason why many countries were surprised when it was announced on Thursday night. The reason is also clear. The enmity between Israel and the Arab or Gulf countries is as historical as this agreement. Trump negotiated with Netanyahu and Sheikh Zayed over the phone to establish it firmly before the deal was announced. Now Israel and UAE will be able to start diplomatic missions ie Embassy in each other’s countries.
Trump shot two targets with one stone
The first and apparently the purpose of the deal is to clamp down on Iran. Iran is a Shia dominated country. It has strained relations with both Arab countries and the United States. He also considers Israel a staunch enemy. Iran wants to gain nuclear power. America, Israel and Arab countries want to stop it. Now that the UAE and Israel have formally come closer, the US will gain more strength. He will be able to clamp down on Iran. On the other hand, Trump will present it as his victory before the presidential election in November. There is not much scope for the agreement to succeed because Israel and the UAE had been in contact for several years through backdoor diplomacy.
