Title Sponsor for IPL 2020 has been announced. Dream XI has acquired these rights by beating companies like Tata Sons and Patanjali.

The main sponsor for the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League ie IPL has been announced. Dream 11 (Dream 11) company has acquired IPL title sponsorship. This company will replace the Chinese mobile company as the main sponsor of the IPL of 2020. Dream XI has made a hefty bid like Vivo to get the title sponsorship of IPL.

The IPL 2020 is scheduled to be played in the UAE ie UAE from 19 September to 10 November. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the BCCI, severed its partnership with Vivo, as 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in eastern Ladakh. The boycott against Chinese goods started in India after this dispute. In such a situation, BCCI had entered into a partnership agreement with Vivo for 2020 to avoid disputes.

Leading fantasy sports platform Dream XI bid and won, clinging to contenders from the main sponsors of IPL, such as Tata Group and Unacademy. In this bid, there was an unaccompanied number two, while Tata Sons bid for the third place. Dream 11 has won the title sponsor of the IPL 2020 with a bid of Rs 250 crore. However, BCCI has got a new sponsor for less than the amount Vivo used to pay for one year’s IPL to BCCI (440 crores for one year).

Earlier, it was being said that the title sponsorship race of IPL would be between Bayju, Unacademy, Tata Sons and Patanjali apart from Dream XI, but Bayju and Patanjali lagged behind in the race, while Baji Dream 11 took off. However, the agreement between BCCI and Dream 11 will be for only four months. The BCCI had already announced this, as BCCI has to join hands with Vivo again.
