Kimine Ketner, a professor of international law at the University of California’s Hastings College of Law, said that at the moment it was unclear whether the lawsuit would have any effect. US law generally prohibits lawsuits against other countries except in certain cases.
At the same time, Lauren Gepford, executive director of the Missouri Democratic Party, called the lawsuit a stunt by a Republican attorney general, saying that all this was being done for the election this year.
According to Johns Hopkins University’s Center for System Science and Engineering, 16 more people died of coronavirus in Missouri on Tuesday. The total death toll in the state has increased to 215, while the number of infected people has reached 5,963.
At the same time, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the US has crossed eight lakhs, while the death toll has crossed 44 thousand. More than 2700 people have died during the last 24 hours in the country.
