Chennai, ANI. The Chennai Police has adopted a unique method to spread awareness among people about the severity of the corona virus epidemic. A local artist has teamed up with a police officer to create a unique ‘Corona’ helmet to prevent people from leaving the streets during lockdown. Police personnel serving 24 hours on the roads said that the helmet is proving useful in making people aware.
Police Inspector Rajesh Babu, who is wearing this Corona helmet while talking to the passengers on the road, said that this approach has had a positive impact so far.
The helmet-designing artist Gautam told the news agency ANI that the public at large is not taking the Covid-19 situation seriously, while police personnel are working round the clock to ensure that people are at home. Stay on and do not go out on the streets to prevent the disease from spreading further.
He further said that I came up with the noble idea and used a broken helmet and paper to prepare it. I have also prepared several posters in which the messages are written, I have handed it over to the police.
At the same time, Police Inspector Rajesh Babu, who met people wearing a Corona helmet on the road, told news agency ANI that we all take steps but still people come out on the streets. Therefore, this Corona helmet is one such step we are taking to ensure that people take the police talk seriously. The helmet is an attempt to do something different. When I wear it, the idea of corona virus comes to the mind of the passengers. Especially the children react by seeing it and want to take it home.
