Islamabad, ANI. Pakistan risked the lives of millions by allowing a program of 250,000 people in Lahore. People from different parts of the world gathered in this program. At a time when countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia are banning religious ceremonies, Pakistan has not taken any such action and has allowed an event organized by the local Tabligi Jamaat Tabligi Ijtima.
On Sunday, the Gaza Strip reported its first two cases of corona virus. Both Palestinians recently returned from Pakistan by participating in this program. Both were among the 2.5 lakh people who had gathered in Lahore on 10-15 March. Pakistan has reported more than 1300 cases and is unaware of the increasing number of people infected with Corona. Journalist Kunwar Khuldun Shahid has written in Haritz that Pakistan can become the super spreader of Kovid-19 in the world.
Shahid wrote that the number of corona-infected people in Pakistan has been clearly underestimated. One can only imagine the seriousness of the situation which has arisen due to the gathering of millions of people in the prayer prayer. While Iran has canceled the prayers of the weekly jumme, Saudi Arabia suspended Umrah by the end of February. However, the Pakistani government could not stop the gathering of 2.5 lakh people in the country’s second most populous city.
It is not that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan does not know this danger. Imran Khan said that he is not able to provide better facilities to the pilgrims coming from Iran and the Taftan due to lack of money. He clearly said that there is no such system in the country that people can be given relief. However, he definitely said that we have decided to create a Youth Tiger Force that will go door-to-door to help people in these bad times and provide them with food items.
