Washington, IANS. Another US company is in the process of starting a vaccine test for the Corona virus (COVID-19). Innovio Pharmaceuticals said on Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted the company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application. As per the report of Xinhua, earlier this week, Phase 1 clinical trials have been approved in Volunteers. In the first phase, this test will be done on 40 healthy people.
This vaccine is designed to prevent COVID-19 infection. Each volunteer will receive two doses of INO-4800 within four weeks. The responses will then be seen collecting data for the study. However, the data is expected to be ready by late summer.
