The march past has been approved for the state-level Independence Day celebrations at district headquarters Kullu. Here Chief Minister Jairam Thakur will unfurl the tricolor on the 74th Independence Day. Tight security arrangements have been made for this. The Superintendent of Police along with the bomb disposal squad has ordered all police stations and outposts in the district to blockade with day-to-day patrolling. Entry is being given only after searching the vehicles coming from outside in the boundaries of the district, especially in Bajaura, Ropa, Luhri and Larji.

The march was not to be held with the cultural program earlier, but the government has allowed the parade to make the ceremony attractive. In such a situation, the soldiers of ITBP, SSB and home guards will participate in the parade along with the police team.
For this, rehearsals are being conducted from 8 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 7 pm in the middle of the humid summer. Superintendent of Police Kullu Gaurav Singh said that a parade will also be organized at the state-level independence ceremony. The government has given permission. He said that security has been tightened.
