Meanwhile, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s government in Italy on Sunday asked the citizens of Italy to be prepared for a prolonged lockdown. The government said that despite the economic challenges and difficulties of daily life, the lockdown will be removed gradually.

The message was given to citizens by ministers and health officials in Italy at a time when 746 people have died in the last 24 hours in Italy, slightly lower than the 969 figure on Friday. In Italy, the rate of corona virus infection on Sunday was less than six percent for the first time.
