This year’s National Teacher Awards have been announced. This year 47 teachers will be awarded this award. Medal, citation, 50 thousand rupees as well as two years of service extension are also given as prizes. Awards are given on 4 September.

Awards have been given on the basis of new standards for the last two years. They have been selected from 153 teachers sent by states, union territories and seven organizations. Most of them include three teachers each from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

Two teachers selected from Jammu and Kashmir

Apart from this, two teachers each from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Bengal, and Jammu and Kashmir have also been selected for the award. Two teachers each from Sikkim, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are also in the list of teachers selected for the award. The names of one teacher each from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Goa are also included in the list of selected teachers.

One teacher each from Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Puducherry have also been selected for the National Award. Apart from these, one teacher each from CBSE, Atomic Energy Education Society, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Eklavya Model Residential School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and CISCE have also been selected for the award.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister congratulated both teachers
