Today India celebrates 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
PM Narendra Modi pays tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on eve of 125th birth anniversary
Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the historic Haripura session of 1938 that Bose was elected Congress president. He tweeted, “Tomorrow, India will mark #ParakramDivas, the Jayanti of the great Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Among the various programmes being organised across the nation, one special programme is being held at Haripura in Gujarat. Do join the programme, which begins at 1 PM.”
On the eve of Netaji Bose’s Jayanti, my mind goes back to 23rd January 2009- the day we launched e-Gram Vishwagram Project from Haripura. This initiative revolutionised Gujarat’s IT infrastructure and took the fruits of technology to the poor, in the remotest parts of the state. pic.twitter.com/4QDzklcBLV

I can never forget the affection of the people of Haripura, who took me through an elaborate procession on the same road as Netaji Bose was taken, in 1938. His procession included a decorated chariot drawn by 51 bullocks. I also visited the place where Netaji stayed in Haripura. pic.twitter.com/8OaLGZv6L5

“May the thoughts and ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose keep inspiring us to work towards building an India that he would be proud of a strong, confident and self-reliant India, whose human-centric approach contributes to a better planet in the years to come,” PM Modi added.
Every year on January 23, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary will be celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’, announced by India Government, to inspire people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervor. On his birth anniversary, here are some inspiring quotes and slogans by Netaji
- India is calling. Blood is calling to blood. Get up, we have no time to lose
- It is blood alone that can pay the price of freedom. Give me blood and I will give you freedom
- One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives
- Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle if there are no risks to be taken
- Forget not that the grossest crime is to compromise with injustice and wrong. Remember the eternal law: You must give if you want to get
- No real change in history can be achieved by discussions
- Men, money and material cannot by themselves bring victory or freedom. We must have the motive-power that will inspire us to brave deeds and heroic exploits.
