Final rehearsal was held at Eklavya Stadium to prepare for the 74th Independence Day celebrations. DC Dr. Aditya Dahiya attended the flag as the chief guest and took the salute. DC said that like every year, Independence Day will be celebrated with great pomp this year. Women and Child Development Minister Kamlesh Dhanda will be the chief guest at the program. The flag will be performed by the chief guest on August 15 at 8.58 am. He said that rehearsal programs are being organized to prepare for the ceremony so that there is no shortage in the grandeur of the ceremony.
He said that due to Covid-19 this time there will be a ban on the arrival of more people in the ceremony so that the infection of Corona virus can be avoided. People should not be deprived of watching this program. Therefore, it has been decided by the district administration to telecast the function live. The Samaroh will be broadcast live on the district administration website.
District Science Officer has been instructed to make all kinds of preparations at the venue of the broadcast. LEDs will also be arranged at the venue to watch the broadcast of the program. He said that due to Covid-19, all the freedom fighters and their war heroes will be honored at their home on behalf of the district administration in the Independence Day celebration this year. On this occasion, ADC Dr. Satyendra Duhan, Jind SDM Satyavan Singh Mann, City Magistrate Hoshiar Singh, District Council CEO Dalbir Singh, DSP Pushpa Khatri and Jitendra Khatkar were present.

Officers wearing masks: DC has instructed all officers and employees to come to the ceremony wearing masks. He instructed to arrange adequate masks and sanitizers here. The duty of Dalbir Singh, CEO of Zilla Parishad, to arrange for mask, sanitizer and social distancing at the venue. He directed the officials of the Public Health Department to make arrangements for healthy drinking water and temporary toilets.
After the rainy season, the program will be held in New Grain Market. After the
rehearsal program, DC visited New Grain Market on Rohtak Road. He said that if more rains occur during the celebrations on August 15, then the Independence Day celebrations will be organized in the Mandi campus. Instructions were also given to make all necessary arrangements at this alternate venue so that Independence Day can be celebrated with great pomp. He said that officers and employees and social workers who did good work in the Corona period will be honored. Some Corona warriors will also be called to the ceremony.
