One of the most popular shows in the history of Indian TV, the Ramayana is being broadcast again on Doordarshan National. Information Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information by tweeting.
Ramayana will be telecast again on Doordarshan’s national channel on Saturday i.e. March 28 on public demand. The first episode will be aired at 9 am and the second episode at 9 pm. Let us know that in the last few days, many people on social media had tweeted about this that Ramayan is a good option to spend time in homes during lockdown.
After this tweet by Prakash Javadekar, many people have expressed their happiness and raised the demand for the re-telecast of Mahabharata and Chanakya. Let us know that the telecast of Ramayana was first from 1987 to 1988. It is one of the most successful shows on Indian TV.
Ramayana was produced and directed by Hindi cinema’s Veteran filmmaker Ramanand Sagar. Ramayana also holds the record for the most watched TV show in the world.
In this mythological story, Arun Govil played Ram, Deepika Chikhaliya played Sita, Sunil Lahiri played Lakshman and Dara Singh played Hanuman’s Kidar. Arvind Trivedi was seen in the role of Ravana. A total of 78 episodes of Ramayana were aired. Hindu Mythology was knocked on Indian television with Ramayana.
Even after this, many versions of Ramayana were broadcast on various channels with changed form, but no one got success like Ramayana. If any other mythological show gained popularity like Ramayana, it was BR Chopra’s Mahabharata, which aired on Doordarshan’s national channel from 1988 to 1990. It had a total of 94 episodes.
