Beijing, agency. The two countries have sealed their border after being found corona positive among 59 people on the China-Russia border. The river port near Vladivostok on the Sino-Russian border has also been closed. Following this move by both countries, Chinese citizens are returning to their homes by crossing.
According to a notice posted on the website of the Chinese Consulate in Vladivostok, all Chinese nationals boarding Russian domestic flights on the border from Tuesday have been placed in a 14-day quarantine. The nursing home will be closed to outsiders from 1 June. The notice states that only those possessing special passes will be allowed to travel on the Russian side of the border area. However, it was not clear whether pass holders would be able to cross into China.
3,331 dead in China so far
According to the National Health Commission (NHC), 3,331 people have died in the country so far and 81,470 people have been infected. Of the infected people, 1,242 are still under treatment, while 77,167 people have been discharged from hospital after recovering. On Monday, the NHC released a list of 30 people who are corona positive but do not show symptoms. Nine of these people have come from abroad. Large numbers of infections are expected to spread from corona infected patients with no symptoms. 1033 such patients are still under the supervision of doctors.
China released timeline of corona virus infection
China on Monday released a timeline of corona virus infection for the first time. This 38-page timeline states that the virus was first detected in Wuhan in December last year.
