The National Hurricane Center in Miami, US, has issued a tropical storm warning for the outer parts of North Carolina on Sunday. It states that Arthur Monday will pass through the outskirts of North Carolina. The National Hurricane Center has expressed the possibility of rain in these areas with strong winds.

The warning states that most of the southeast coast is under its control. The center of the storm was located 425 kilometers southwest of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, on Sunday. During this time the wind speed was 45 mph (75 kmph). The Meteorological Department has said that ‘Arthur’ is moving north-northeast at a speed of 9 mph (about 15 kilometers per hour). Significantly, the tropical storm originated in Florida, the USA on Saturday.
