New Delhi, IANS. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has postponed several examinations including JNU Entrance Examination, UGC NET, NEET and IGNOU PhD, in view of the lockdown implemented to prevent the effects of Corona virus.

In view of the danger of corona virus, the central government has decided to cancel the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). When this decision was made, the admit cards for NEET were about to be issued, but were withheld. Now the Ministry has issued information regarding postponement of the examination. In view of the lockdown, the JEE Main Examination has been postponed.
Deadline for all examinations increased by one month.
Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, ‘The Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been asked to postpone the last date of application for several examinations. These include Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), UGC NET, IGNOU PhD, ICAR exam, NCHM-G and entrance examinations for admission in management. The deadline for all these exams has been extended by one month. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has asked CBSE, NIOS and NTA to prepare a revised schedule for the examinations.
In addition, autonomous bodies and NCERT have been asked to prepare an alternative academic calendar. This is being done so that all students can apply for these exams in a convenient manner.
IGNOU extended the date of submission of the form for Term End Examination
A senior official said that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submission of Terminal Examination Form starting from 30 April. Late fine will not be taken for this. Similarly, students can apply for IGNOU’s official website by 30 April for the June term examination.
