A scientist has claimed that the virus started spreading before widespread testing began in the US, and most of the samples still identified in local samples have been found from Europe. Adriana Hegue, a genetics professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, who led the research, said that detecting a chain of the virus’s spread would help policymakers deal with it as well.
He said it is very interesting that the local sample consists mostly of European travelers. This happened because the entire focus of the US was focused on stopping travel from China while the transition arrived from Europe. His research previously had no relevant travel history of the patient. That is, he was infected with someone in his community, but his sensitivity increased after travelers from Europe.
