New Delhi In view of increasing cases of corona across the country, a large-scale investigation operation has been approved. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has authorized several more labs to test Kovid-19. Along with this, the ICMR has also approved antibodies testing from blood samples. Now samples from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Department of Atomic Research (DAE) will also be able to test samples of Kovid-19.
Instructions have to be strictly followed
An ICMR official said that the labs of these institutions have been asked to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the council before starting the investigation of Corona. It has been said by ICMR that this virus is very dangerous. Its samples reach for testing through several levels. At no stage can an untrained employee be employed. In the slightest negligence, this virus can infect the lab and cause trouble for everyone.
Strict on disposal of medical waste
The ICMR has clarified that it will not provide any test kits or chemicals to these institutions. These labs will examine only samples sent by government organizations and government campaigns. The council said that since these labs are under reputed institutions, it will neither inspect them nor compromise any permission. Only the secretaries of these departments would be suitable to make any compromise in this regard. The responsibility of these investigation labs will be with the concerned department. The ICMR has also asked for strict adherence to the rules for disposal of medical waste.

The ICMR has approved antibiotic testing of blood samples, along with authorizing labs from various departments to examine the corona. Antibody testing results in early investigation. It will get results in fifteen to twenty minutes. One feature of antibiotic testing is that more people can be tested in less time. In this, the areas which are more affected by the corona will be able to confirm patients quickly and facilitate their timely treatment. The government had so far allowed the PCR (perimeter chain reaction) test. This test of liquid samples taken from the patient’s nose and throat was taking a long time.
