Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020: Indian Coast Guard has released a new advertisement for the recruitment of seamen in the domestic branch. As per the 01/2021 batch notification issued by the Coast Guard, the eligible candidates for the naval posts can apply online through the official website, joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The application process will begin on November 30, 2020. At the same time, applications for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020 can be made till December 7. Qualified candidates are to be selected for the 01/2020 batch on naval posts.

Who can apply?
As per the eligibility criteria laid down for the recruitment of seamen in the Indian Coast Guard’s Domestic Branch (Total and Steward), the candidates passing 10th standard with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board can apply. Also, the age of the candidates should be between 18 years to 22 years on 1 April 2021. However, there has also been a provision for relaxation in the maximum age limit for reserved category candidates.

Salary
The Indian Coast Guard is to be recruited for the seamen recruitment posts in the Domestic Branch (Total and Steward) at the base pay of Pay Level-3 of the Seventh Pay Commission. Also, DA and other applicable allowances will be given to the candidates.

This will be the selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, physical fitness test (PFT) and medical examination. The written examination will consist of questions related to Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Sciences, General English, General Awareness (Current Affairs and General Knowledge) and Reasoning (Verbal and Non-Verbal) subjects.
