MS Dhoni created history in T20 cricket, success achieved behind wicket
IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, made a great start to the tournament by defeating defending champions Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets in the opening match of IPL 2020. This match proved to be fantastic for MS in many ways. This was Dhoni’s 100th win as the captain of CSK in IPL. Apart from this as a captain, he also achieved the place of taking 100 catches in IPL.
100 catches have been completed in the IPL of MS out of which he has taken 96 catches as captain and 4 catches have been registered in his name as a fielder. Apart from these huge successes, he has done something amazing that no wicketkeeper in T20 cricket history has done. MS Dhoni catch out two Mumbai players in this match. He caught the catches of Kiron Pollard and Krunal Pandya off Lungi Ngidi and completed his 250 wickets as a wicketkeeper in T20 cricket. He has now become the first wicketkeeper in the world to have 250 victims as a wicketkeeper in T20 format.
In the very first match against Mumbai Indians, CSK has shown its strength and has warned the opposing teams. In this match Mumbai team scored 162 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. CSK’s bowling was also slow due to which this team could not score much bigger. CSK’s start to victory later was a poor start, but the half-century innings of Ambati Rayudu and Fof Duplessis gave the team a 5-wicket victory.
