Lucknow. The people and foreigners who joined the Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi, will also be subject to stringent legal action in the coming days. For foreign nationals against whom FIRs have been registered and their passports seized, the jail doors will be open after the quarantine period is over. The path for such foreigners to come to India again will not be easy.

Uttar Pradesh DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi said that the people of Tablighi Jamaat and those who came in contact with Nizamuddin Markaz are being identified and quarantined. Many such people are also coming forward, while those who hide or violate the prohibitory orders applicable for corona infection have been directed to register FIRs and take action. However, in the sections where cases have been registered against the depositors and foreign nationals, there is a provision for punishment of less than seven years.

Meanwhile, police have also seized the passports of 249 foreign nationals. They came via tourist visa and were attending other events without notice. For these foreign nationals, after the quarantine, the prison routes will be open. In these cases, there are those who were helpful in hiding them. They will soon be screwed over. ADG law and order PV Ramasastri said that there are about 200 people who have gone to the Nizamuddin community and now are in Delhi and other states. The information of such people has been given to the respective states. The police and administration are quarantining previously infected people.
