Bogotá. An accidental blast at a coal mine in Colombia killed 11 people on Saturday. Four others were injured in this accident. According to the local fire department, all those killed were mine workers.

Explain that due to Corona epidemic, the Colombian government has ordered a lockdown in the country. People in the country are in Quarantine, but there is a government exemption in the field of mining activities. Mining is separated from this order. Captain Alvaro Farfan, head of the fire department of the Kundinmarca department, told local media that the accident occurred in a legally operated coal mine. However, he declined to give details about the explosion.

On Friday, six other miners were killed in a similar incident in the coal mine of San Cayetano, northeastern Colombia, on Friday. Following the accident, the state-run National Mining Agency announced the suspension of underground coal mining activity in Kukunuba.
