Tech News. 2020 was a year of examination. An examination in which nature has long tested the patience of the people. In this exam, we were able to pass even after losing a lot. Whatever the outcome, during this time we got an opportunity to connect with people very closely, to become their detractors and to give almost zero sensitivity to their hearts again. This human quality of taking everyone along is rare, which is found in very few individuals and organizations. But, in which even today it is found effortlessly, they raise their shoulders for others in the face of troubles. In a similar way, Sonu Sood and Mi India are taking new initiatives with a common objective.

Sonu Sood and Mi India are not familiar with any introduction. Sonu Sood is an actor as well as a sensitive human being. The example of their sensitivity at the time of disaster can be set before the people in the same way that Brand Mi India is trying to complete the education of the students coming from the disadvantaged sections without any hindrance.

The new initiative of Sonu Sood and Mi India is named #ShikshaHarHaath. Through this initiative, which will empower tomorrow’s future, thousands of underprivileged students will be provided Redmi smartphones so that technology does not come in their way of online education.

Mi product consumers have been linked to this initiative to make it seamless, effective and comprehensive. These consumers of their country can resolve the donation of used Redmi smartphone by visiting Shikshaharhaath website. Apart from this, your smartphone running smoothly can be donated by going to your nearest Mi Home, Mi Studio, Mi India Service Center. After refurbishing these second-hand smartphones at the service center of Mi India, students will be provided. The company also plans to tie-up with educational institutions besides setting up a common platform to reach out to students in need. It also claims that it will partner with third-party agencies to identify deserving students. “We are going to reach out to every single individual who needs help in education. The aim is to reach out to as many people as possible and create an inclusive environment for kids in the time of online education,” Sood Says.

Manu Kumar Jain, managing director of Mi India, sees the partnership as an attempt to ‘commit to the brand to provide education to all’. He says “Nearly 25-30% of people in the country do not have smartphones or any connected devices. In the times of Covid, we firmly believe that no child should miss education due to the lack of a smartphone. The #ShikshaHarHaath initiative reinforces our commitment towards education for all,”. At the same time, Sonu Sood sees this as an attempt to remove the barriers faced by students of needy section to get education due to lockdown. He believes that while this will increase literacy in the country, on the other hand, the participation of children from disadvantaged sections in online classes will increase. Brand Mi India’s CSR Lead Prateek Das views the #ShikshaHarhaath initiative as an experiment to educate and empower tomorrow’s future.

However, Mi India is already committed to children’s education. In the year 2020, the initiative to educate the needy was started through the Mi Scholarship Program. Mi India, in partnership with Teach for India and buddy4study, pledged to donate 2 crore for education. #ShikshaHarhaath would be a great initiative for the underprivileged children who want to complete their education.
