PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron have held talks in view of the threat of Corona virus hovering over the world.

New Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron have agreed that expert teams from both countries will share information about the spread of the corona virus as well as ongoing research on treatments and vaccines. A statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday said that the two leaders discussed the domestic and international aspects of the crisis that had arisen from the epidemic. He underlined the importance of global cooperation and solidarity in the current situation.

The French President agreed with Prime Minister Modi’s view that the Corona crisis is a turning point in modern history. It gives the world an opportunity to create a new human-centered concept of globalization. Both underscored the importance of not diverting from other global concerns such as climate change, which affect humanity as a whole.

PM Modi expressed his condolences to Macron on the deaths of people in France due to Corona virus epidemic. The statement said they agreed that teams of experts from both countries would actively share information about the spread of the virus and research on vaccines.
