New Delhi, ANI. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Tuesday released a list of 87 private labs to test the coronavirus (COVID-19). Of the 87 labs established in 15 states, the maximum 20 are coronavirus test labs in Maharashtra. Explain that Maharashtra is one of the most affected states in the country in the number of coronavirus cases.
Apart from Maharashtra, 12 labs in Telangana, 11 in Delhi, 10 in Tamil Nadu, 7 in Haryana, 6 in West Bengal, 5 in Karnataka, 4 in Gujarat, and 2 in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. And Odisha has one lab each.
Indian Council of Medical Research said that till 9 pm on April 21, a total of 4 lakh 62 thousand 621 samples of 4 lakh 47 thousand 812 persons have been tested in the country. Apart from this, 26 thousand 943 samples have been taken till 9 pm on 21 April, he said.
Let me tell you that many Indian institutes have shown interest in using the plasma therapy of cured patients for the treatment of Kovid-19. ICMR has received applications from 99 such institutions, who are willing to cooperate in using the treatment in a more controlled and safe environment. The ACMR last April 12 announced to research on the plasma method for the treatment of Kovid-19 and asked interested institutions to approach it.
